Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress best known for her roles in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has proven her abilities as an actress through remarkable performances in TV series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. Her performance in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to catch her attention. However it was her performance as women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally made her an actor. Hind was also praised for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical show, the drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show has been renewed for a third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind has recently completed production on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters that will premiere in the second half of 2019.
