Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor from 11 November 1996. Following her small debut performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985), she went onto portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody was a model when she was approached by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has transformed into commercial modeling. Doody stringently avoided glamour and naked work, a rule that she extended to her acting profession. After being spotted by of the casting director of the upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one the twelve most promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was only 18 at the time of her first appearance in the Bond part. As of today Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997), starring Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias as she appeared in his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. Doody played Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody acted alongside Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody played the role in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Then, she moved to Hollywood. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokesperson and then continued to play opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent on the film Major League II. Doody, who had been away from acting for almost 10 years, came back in 2003 for a minor role of The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her as a character at an awards ceremony. Doody acted alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 film adaptation for television to King Solomon's Mines and also was a part of a short titled Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet on the Holocaust and also in the British TV series Waking the Dead (in a two-part series called. in 2010 Doody shot a part of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). She was also to take on the role of lead in The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018, she won the Almeria tierra de Cine Award as well as a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
